Where Have I Been?

Talk about "time flying"!! I don't know what happened to my time during the last 3 months of 2008. I hope I can remember most of the exciting things that I got to experience during that time frame so my grandkids can read about it when they get older (and hopefully, interested in their gramma's life). Let's see....my memories are: 1) I got to attend one of Willa's soccer practices and soccer games. She looked so cute in her soccer uniform, learning to stop the ball with her foot and without using her hands, and watching her practice her dance moves when she actually participating in the soccer game on the soccer field. She was having so much fun with her friends; 2) I got to attend "Grandparents Day" at Willa's school, SMOS. I had so much fun watching her make a necklace that day, meeting some of her classmates (she is so kind and mannerly....she introduced me to almost every one of the kids in her class), and watching the musical program that the school performed. Each class and/or grade had their own performance. Her pre-K class performance was so cute. She did a great job keeping up with the words in the song and the hand and body language. I was so proud of her; 3) I got to have Willa over for a few "sleep overs". We always have fun building tents with blankets, playing Barbies, playing school (of course, Willa was the teacher and I was the student. I was usually in time-out quite a bit for not obeying), playing with "play dough", watching movies; 4) I got to go with Willa, mommy and daddy, and Babcia to St. Louis Symphony and see the original "Wizard of Oz" movie on a gigantic screen while the symphony played the movie's songs. I had a wonderful time. Willa really enjoyed it, and the music was just fantastic; 5) Of course there was Willa's 4th birthday celebration that I got to experience. The poor little thing wasn't feeling well that day. She was trying so hard to have fun and overcome her "yuccki" feeling, but finally the vomiting "won out"; and 6) I was able to see Haleigh and Hannah over the Christmas holidays, too. I don't get to see them as often as I'd like only because we live about 3 hours away from each other. I'm always surprised at how much they grow in size and maturity when I see them. I was so much fun having them (and mommy and daddy) around for 3 days. It was fun having my whole family together to open presents and play games; Christine, Bill, Willa, Tracy, FJ, Haleigh, Hannah, and Papa Mike. I am positive there are more great memories than I've shared. This is what happens when I wait too long to blog...my memory isn't quite as great as it use to be! However, even if I remembered more events my blog would be way to long to hold the interest of those grandkids! All in all, my life is so full of great moments spent with my grandkids! I'm so lucky and blessed!
